Katherine Heng - DemoReel (2025)


Shimano-MTB DEORE M6100
Over 8 months in a team of 4, we created 4 projects, including the DEORE M6100.
Using Autodesk Maya for asset preparation, rigging and animation, Substance Painter for texturing, Unreal Engine for lighting and rendering, GitHub for working in Unreal Engine simultaneously and Adobe Premiere Pro for compositing. Contributed photorealistic texturing, lighting assistance, scripting to automate the rigging process and asset preparation.

Vintage Book Reseller
Workstation of a vintage book reseller! Adding the book materials, golden hour lighting, and seeing the project come together made my heart happy. Inspiration and book textures taken from lescargot-papier.com.

Kitchen Interior
3D modelling an interior; feel like I learnt how to model much more quickly and efficiently, and it was fun matching up the shot to the IKEA catalogue!


Grandma's Jewellery Box
Old treasures and antiques. Details of the gold engraving were procedurally created, along with the rest of the materials within Substance Designer. I tried to accurately capture texture details in the jade marbling, jade subsurface, gold engravings, velvet fibers, wood grain and brass lock.

Dominator done in ZBrush. First ZBrush project.

Building wireframe effect in Houdini, card Motion Graphics in After Effects and Compositing in Nuke.
